I don't think Buran ever flew with a crew on board, so would be cool to figure out an automated landing system for it. Hope it helps you land it, I have also cheated a few times and had infinite fuel on but I found the above method actually lets me land Buran as close to automated as possible. if you bounced on the runway and flew up again, don't worry. 3/ When AR202 is active (eg running autopilot), green is on, red is off. 2/ When AR202 is idle, red light is on (green is off). If you got it right, you should be on the runway at which point you need to let go of the flight controls and deploy the 'chutes. Its only a simple suggestion about red & green lights (indicators) on AR202 case (MechJeb 2) : 1/ When AR202 is disabled (from right-click menu), both red & green are off (assuming its not too difficult to implement). you want to drop down gently by pulling up and then letting go and pulling up hard. When you reach a few hundred meters off the ground its time to start pulling up gently, until you are just a few feet off the runway and this is the part where its almost pure luck. KSC is usually hidden just behind a mountain range at this point, so aim for the sea beyond it.įor the next few minutes, gliding into KSC you can adjust your heading and orientation it bit by bit using RCS and then turn the SAS back on How to Install MechJeb for Kerbal Space Program 0.20. I then turn off landing guidance, point the spacecraft in the right direction using only the RCS and then hit the SAS when the nose of the orbiter is aimed at the sea. How to Install MechJeb for Kerbal Space Program 0.20 - Easy & Short. With CurseForge, you can easily download, install, and discover new Kerbal Space Program mods - it’s seamless and hassle-free. You should see the gears drop, and the airbrakes start to open. Description Files Images Relations Usage instructions: Add either the AR202 surface-attached case from the Control tab or the MechJeb pod from the Pods tab to one of your vessels. Then use the button on the right side of the screen to access MechJeb window selection interface, and click on the buttons to activate the windows. I can't dock from the top of my ship, perpendicular from the docking target, Mechjeb only docks frontside. Just like you, lastest MechJeb on KSP 1.12. I then wait until it's just entered the atmosphere, and hit the gear button (twice for some reason on the Buran model) ago I'm using the latest mechjeb dev build and even though it's for 1.11 it's been working mostly fine in 1.12 Olivier0704 2 yr. Once in a circular orbit, or docked with a station, I fire up the landing guidance and target KSC. If you do land at night, you won't see the runway until the last second and by which time you will miss it completely. :) Thanks for the reply So what's confusing is I have 2 GameData folders and it won't launch when it's. This leaves you with the situation KSP/GameData/ (mod name)/ (mod contents). R4m0n seems to be away from KSP right now and I can do some minor patch and use patch from others.I dont really want to call it a fork since I dont want to take over the dev. The way you install any such mod manually is to copy folder (mod name) (ie the one inside the GameData folder) into your game's GameData folder. This addon is licensed under the GPL v3, and includes Module Manager by sarbian, swamp_ig, and ialdabaoth, which is licensed CC-BY-SA, forum link here: Module Manager Version 4.0.It's not so hard to land the Buran, it did take me several attempts and many smashed orbiters on the runway but here is what i do.ĭon't attempt to land at night, sometimes it can't be helped using the landing guidance but if you find yourself re-entering orbit on the dark side i'd go around for another try (if you can). This is a alternate version of Mechjeb 2. (Works on 0.23, all the way thru 1.7.2, you need to have the proper ModuleManager Plug in I included the latest one for convenience) I take no responsability for what you do to your game That means that you don't have to manually add MechJeb while building your ship, it will come embedded on the command module (not physically, but in the code). This does not add MechJeb functionality, it just adds the MechJeb module to the command modules. It does not change your files, it justs appends the MechJeb core at the time of execution. This version uses ModuleManager (included 4.0.2) to provide functionality. "It's Free!" if you want not to go to the R&D to unlock modules, they'll be enabled from the start. "Career mode" if you want career mode support, you'll have to go to R&D to unlock modules.
